The Riverwalk is truly an amazing destination. Pleasant to walk at anytime and perfect for people watching. Many different restaurants that make it easy to find something that fits your taste.Was there just after Christmas and stayed for New Year’s eve and the Riverwalk was decorated with holiday lights that made it an outstanding attraction in itself.
The River Walk is a nice walk along the old River. It is lined with restaurants that have outdoor dining along the walk. During weeknights during winter the area is a little overrun with homeless/street people. I noted that once the convention was underway the street people were either displaced by police or retreated to somewhere else. Once the crowds were out, it was pretty safe. There was visible police and security.
It was amazing to see such a unique community development. Lots of shopping and restaurants. Very clean. The boat ride was interesting.
